Croeso – welcome
The Rose & Crown
Graianrhyd
A traditional village pub from the early 1800s, with an open fire, local ales and a warm welcome for walkers, cyclists and dogs.

A proper village local
One long bar serving two rooms, copper-topped tables, a crackling fire in winter and a wall of pump clips from years of guest ales.
The Rose & Crown has been at the heart of Graianrhyd for around two hundred years. Locals, walkers and cyclists come in from the hills, and it's a favourite finishing point for fell runners after a race.
Come in for a pint by the fire, a game, or a seat in the garden on a summer evening.
- Listed in CAMRA's Real Heritage Pubs of Wales
- Registered as an Asset of Community Value
- Dogs and families welcome
- Beer garden and car park
- Open fire, games and sports on TV
Opening hours
We're closed on Mondays. Hours can change on bank holidays and event days, so give us a ring if you're travelling a long way.
On the bar
Wye Valley HPA is always on the middle pump, with two guest ales either side that change most weeks, usually from local breweries. Ask at the bar what's on today.
Food
We serve simple basket meals on Saturday and Sunday afternoons: hearty, filling and just right after a day on the hills.
Our chip baps have become something of a local legend, especially with runners after the Dash in the Dark.
